Studio Lawrence will exhibit their sculptural creations at The Annexe, The Brick Lane Gallery. The award-winning Dutch design duo behind furniture brand Studio Lawrence and architecture firm eijkingdelouwere have landed. Meet Bart Eijking and Patrick de Louwere at their first London Design Festival as they unveil four dynamic pieces, including the exclusive launch of a new Raising Lantern.

From 20 - 25 September at The Annexe, The Brick Lane Gallery, Studio Lawrence will exhibit their sculptural creations; the UK premiere of modular sofa system To Gather and Wonky chairs alongside the new Raising Lantern design and GOOD DESIGN Award winning wall hanging Along These Lines.

Having moved their studio and homes from Holland to London this year, the Europe 40 Under 40 Award winners show their stripes as the fresh design talent to hit the UK. Launched in Kortrijk at the end of last year, To Gather and the Wonky chairs are the latest Studio Lawrence pieces and will be seen for the first time in the UK at their exhibition ‘Landing In London’. The modular sofa system To Gather, covered in the highest quality Kvadrat fabrics, will be shown in completely new colours and compositions. Studio Lawrence’s great sculptures of light, the Raising Lanterns, will socialize with a new design, ‘Big Fish’, to be unveiled at the opening of the exhibition; the stacked cylindrical shapes are perforated, revealing a spiraling oversized fish when lit up, fusing the designers fascinations with sequences and natural themes. The monochrome elegance of the Wonky chairs in their five asymmetrical shapes will create playful perspectives alongside the acclaimed wall hanging Along These Lines. Winning a 2010 GOOD DESIGN Award at the end of last year and having just been nominated for a 2011 German Design Award, this modular wall hanging has earned fast recognition since its launch in 2009.
