Design Museum, London
Brief: Create a semi-permanent felt wall hanging to minimize echo in the conference room of the Design Museum in London.
Design: With the proven success of the Fibonacci sequence in our Last Supper Table, we used the same concept in the design of our wall hanging Along These Lines. We created a system of coloured vertical lanes in felt suspended from a steel rail, meaning the hanging can be easily taken down and re-hung. Running parallel and creating colorful lined sequences, the lanes are cut in widths based on the Fibonacci sequence. The hanging system allows lanes to be layered, softening acoustics and allowing the composition to be re-arranged, creating a constantly changing and dynamic piece.
